A few months ago I left for a scuba trip and left my tank to the house sitter. Needless to say she she was not able to care for the tanks the way I do. My Calcium Reactor driprate increased drastically and after a week my Alk hit 12. As a result I lost a few SPS and stressed out the rest. A friend of mine recommended Tropic Marine Bio-Calcium.
Its been 4 weeks since I decommissioned my Ca Reactor. Currently parameters are holding steady at 420 Ca and 7.5 Alk.

Update:
Its been 6 more weeks and Ca is fine 420ppm. Had to do weekly tests to determine the right amount to add. Growth has been good Alk is also stable. For now I’m sold, and decided to stock it. The only negative comment is with Bio-Calcium you have to add Mg. TM has their Bio-Magnesium and apparently they separated the two as each system has different Magnesium demands compared to Calcium.
I’m in school and a reactor is out of the question so far this is keeping my ca at 420. This product’s awesome. billion thumbs up!!!
